Prometeo: ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification

Today, we’re proud to share a new milestone: our upgrade to the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the latest update to the international standard for information security management.

The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard introduces a more streamlined structure, reducing the number of controls from 114 to 93 and reorganizing them into 4 main clauses. It also includes 11 new controls and merges 24 others, placing greater emphasis on current issues like cloud usage, threat intelligence, and IoT device protection. This update reflects the rapid evolution of cyber risks and underscores the need for companies to continuously adopt best practices.

For us, transitioning to the 2022 version required reviewing and strengthening our Information Security Management System (ISMS). Our cybersecurity and compliance teams conducted internal assessments, updated controls, and performed comprehensive audits.

Successfully passing the external audit demonstrated that we have the processes, culture, and tools required to safeguard financial data and meet the industry’s high standards.
