By becoming a member of the Financial Data and Technology Association (FDATA), we reinforce our commitment to open, interoperable, and secure financial infrastructure across Latin America and the United States.
At Prometeo, we believe financial infrastructure is the foundation of sustainable innovation. That’s why we’re proud to share an important milestone in our journey: Prometeo is now an official member of the Financial Data and Technology Association (FDATA).
FDATA is a leading trade association representing more than 30 fintech companies and consumer-permissioned data access platforms across the United States and Canada. Its mission—to promote responsible innovation, secure data access, interoperability, and consumer choice—closely aligns with how we approach open finance every day.
Since day one, Prometeo has focused on solving one of the most persistent challenges in the Americas: fragmented financial infrastructure. Through a single API, we enable bank connectivity, bank account validation, payment initiation, and access to financial data for businesses operating across Latin America and the U.S. Joining FDATA is a natural extension of that work and of our growing participation in cross-border financial ecosystems.
“Prometeo brings deep regional expertise and a strong technical foundation to the FDATA community,” said Steve Boms, Executive Director of FDATA. “As open banking and open finance frameworks continue to evolve across markets, Prometeo’s perspective will be invaluable in advancing policies that promote secure access, interoperability, and consumer choice.”
As members of FDATA, we will engage directly in industry and policy discussions focused on consumer-permissioned data access, payments modernization, and regulatory alignment across jurisdictions. These conversations are critical as open finance continues to mature and expand across different regulatory and market environments.
“Joining FDATA is a natural step for Prometeo as we continue to support scalable, secure financial infrastructure across the Americas,” said Ximena Aleman, Co-Founder and Co-CEO at Prometeo. “We look forward to collaborating with FDATA members and policymakers to help shape a future where open finance delivers meaningful value to businesses and consumers alike.”
We see this step as a continuation of our commitment to building open, interoperable financial infrastructure that enables businesses to operate more efficiently—across borders and at scale.
