After months of dedicated effort, we announced the successful closure of our Series A funding round, securing $13 million. Led by Antler Elevate and backed by PayPal Ventures and Samsung Next, this funding round positions Prometeo at the forefront of innovation and growth.
We are thrilled to announce that our Series A round is the largest closed in the United States for 2023. Additionally, it's noteworthy that Ximena Aleman is the first female founder to receive an investment from PayPal Ventures, underscoring the significant role of female founders in the fintech industry.
With this infusion of capital, we wanted to now share with you what’s next for Prometeo.
We are strategically planning to expand our commercial reach, focusing particularly on the markets of Mexico and Brazil.
Building on our existing open APIs with over 300 financial institutions in these countries, we aim to empower treasury teams to optimize and automate their daily financial operations. This includes launching our account-to-account solution to receive real-time payments and streamlining account validations to enhance overall efficiency.
In turn, we will expand our reach in the account validation service to generate greater efficiencies for companies engaged in onboarding processes or payments. Our experience working with corporations and two of the world's largest banks has shown us that the added value of this product lies in its pan-regional scope. These companies, both from Brazil and beyond, will be able to validate account information in any country in Latin America.
Also, in the upcoming months, we are set to launch account-to-account payments in Mexico. This solution is tailored for financial institutions seeking seamless payment reconciliation. Additionally, it will be available for e-commerce businesses looking to receive real-time payments for their sales. For end-users, our user-centric solution reduces the steps required for A2A payments, providing a smoother and more efficient payment process compared to the existing options on the market.
